The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Colleen will be sadly missed and always remembered.

  1. Dear Colleen(Nana) from the time I first met you and Papa on Willems 30th birthday I felt completely comfortable and welcomed in your presence and home. Getting to know you it became apparent early on that you were a woman of integrity, passion and generousity to your friends and others that were a part of your life, including myself. Your strength during the fight with cancer….was second to none….I will miss you…..one thing I would like back is my soapbox please, I think you pinched it from me several years back….. I hope you find solace in heaven. Love Michael

  2. Dear Aunty Colleen,
I still remember the time I met you, when I would have been only about seven or eight years old and how you striked me as a strong, intelligent and kind person. This has been proven over the years through our many conversations. I did admire your strength and humour and your absence will be felt in the family and those closest to you. I hope you shall rest in peace, though I’m pretty sure you shall be keeping an eye on all of us from above.
To Uncle, Ramona, Willem and families..my heart is with you all on this difficult day.
    Much love Asha

    1. Dear Aunty Colleen,
My memory goes back nearly 50 years ago when i was a kid visiting your family in nuwara eliya. We always enjoyed your hospitality and the company of Ramona & Willhem and my favourite uncle Indra. We always knew my father’s dearest brother was uncle. So it was a sad departing when you and your family left sri lanka in early 70s . I had the opportunity seeing you again during my late teens.
As a kid we knew you were strict, but a loving mother and a caring wife.
Our condolences to your family, uncle Indra, Ramona & Willhem and their immediate family , you will be sadly missed. May aunty Colleen rest in peace. May god bless you all.
      Love Dehan

  5. Dear Mum,
Thanks you for all that you did for us. You loved, supported and cared for us over the years. You taught us many things but most importantly to be kind generous and look after those that need help. You were loved and appreciated by all that you helped. You will be missed.
Wherever you are, I hope your beloved Zorro walks by your side.
    Love you, Ramona

  6. Mum,

I will never forget you and you will live on in my heart forever. I will always remember you singing to me the song, ‘My Son, my son,’ in your last few weeks. Weakened as you were, you sang it beautifully and it touched me like nothing else before. Roshane, your loving grandsons Jeremy and Troy and I will all miss you.
    Love always, Willem
