Eugene Joseph Peters

29th March 1940 ~ 9th November 2021

Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Eugene Peters will offered at Saint Lukes Catholic Church, 1 Ipswich Court Wantirna, on Friday 19th November 2021 at 11.00am.

Even with the easing of restrictions, Eugene’s funeral service in the Church will be limited to 110 people.

A committal service and a function will follow after cortege to the Springvale Botanical Cemetery. At the Cemetery we will be limited to 50 people in attendance due to restrictions. Eugene’s family have sent an invitation to those people they would like to be among the 50 at the Cemetery, and a message that they wish there could be more.

Everybody does need to be aware that while restrictions have eased, all in attendance do need to be double vaccinated. Church staff (and then Cemetery staff at Springvale) will be signing everybody in and checking vaccination status. If you hold an exemption from double vaccination please bring printed evidence of such to show the Venue.

Eugene will be sadly missed and always remembered.

Please find below a space to leave your personal tribute to Eugene, or to pass on your condolences to his family. You are invited to leave a condolence / tribute any time. We have found these touching tributes are warmly received by families who have experienced the grief of losing a loved one. Once approved, your message will go on to Eugene’s tribute page.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

We think about you always,

We talk about you still,

You have never been forgotten, Dad

And you never will.

We hold you close within our hearts,

And there you will remain,

To walk and guide us through our lives,

Until we meet again.

  1. Those we love don’t go away,
    They walk beside us everyday.
    Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and forever dear.

    Vale’ Eugene.

    Jean and family.
