Ashes Interment Or Scattering Service
At Crane Funerals, we offer Services with a difference.
Traditionally, the final part of a funeral is cremation or burial. However, we can help you with a service instead that involves laying your loved one’s cremated remains to rest. That’s our Interment Service with a difference.
This can be important if you wish to forego a traditional style of funeral. We can arrange a private cremation for you and organise an urn of your choice for the interment.
A Clergy member, or suitable Celebrant, can be provided to help your family with the Interment Ceremony. Alternatively, we may be able to arrange a Celebrant to help with a Service if you scatter your loved one’s ashes instead.
Private Or Open To All
This Service could be for family members only, or relatives and friends can attend the farewell also. We can arrange music for you to be played during the Service, and if you’d like to organise refreshments afterward, we can also help you with that.
This Service is a little out of the ordinary, and not for everyone. However, it is simply an altered version of a traditional funeral where the coffin would normally be present.
And some people prefer this option as it incorporates celebrating the very final act of committal of their loved one.
This is different in a traditional Service where the Ceremony takes place, then a private cremation, and in the following weeks the interment of ashes will finally take place. Sometimes when done this way, only Cemetery staff are present, and some people see that as ‘lonely’ for their loved one.
